txt: Rosa Barba - Western Round Table 2027
Rosa Barba is an artist who might work in a variety of media but whose work is invariably about one medium in particular: industrial cinema. [...] Western Round Table 2027. As such this work becomes an already-antiquated memorial sent back from a future without words, figured by the epochal past of the early twentieth century, of derelict (modernist) form.

Punta della Dogana, the [Venice] mayor continued, will not be the exhibition of the great consacrated masters, and not even a trendy fashion show, but a documentation and research center, permanently open, which will develop a cultural strategy in synergy with other large museums of the city, dedicated both to the ancient masters and to the modern art.

A new exhibition space designed by Renzo Piano for the Emilio and Annabianca Vedova Foundation will be opened on wednesday 3 june 2009 in the old Magazzini del Sale at the Zattere in Venice txt: Press Release Fondazione Vedova
Along the Zattere of his Venice, Emilio Vedova would see the departure of “the burci”, (barges), laden with the dreams of this twenty-year-old. He drew these burci right then as they moved along the shipping canal, the liquid street between the stones of the Zattere and those of the Giudecca. To live on the Zattere was his wish and there he lived for fifty years with Annabianca. Now he returns there with his work, in the great Magazzino del Sale (salt warehouse) from where his dialectic relationship with the world continues.

txt: Lara Favaretto - "Project for Some Hallucinations" Frieze Projects 2007
It is not important to know whether the Queen will come to the fair or not because, once the news of my inviting her spreads, the image of her visit will already be implanted in people’s minds. It is like when one listens to the relating of an idea that is so powerful it ultimately does not matter if it is ever realized, since there is already enough substance by which to visualize it. I imagine this to be like living surrounded by the empty set of a show, from which the main character is missing, when the end of the show is announced by an unexpected applause thanking all the participants.

txt: The Venice Biennale has become reflection of the state architecture is in - www.bdonline.co.uk
The Venice [architecture] Biennale should be a hugely important cultural event, but it isn’t. It’s a lot of fun and can be hugely stimulating — who could fail to be swept up by the city’s beauty? But it has become a sad reflection of the state architecture is in and, unlike science, it is short of a big idea.

Dr. Balassanian said that NPAK has organized a drive to raise funds to implement this project. "The global financial crisis has hampered the fund-raising effort drastically. Contributions of any size will be highly appreciated and will save the day. I cannot stress the gravity of the situation more," he explained.
